Currently removed statements

[edit]
  1. "After contributing to its successful management, Whipple himself succumbed to the ravages of pancreatic cancer."
  2. "In 1927 Dr Whipple was briefly involved in a renowned personal injury lawsuit in which he was acquitted."

The first statement really needs to be cited, especially given the fact that one version of this article states he died of a heart attack in his sleep.

The second statement makes no sense, one is not acquitted, or found not guilty etc, in civil cases. The term is from criminal law, which makes the whole statement suspicious without a citation.

If anyone could help verify these facts that'd be great. I already looked around but there did not seem to be any sources relating to these 2 statements. --ShaunMacPherson 09:59, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
